Eric Vanel: Sculptor of the Soul

Eric Vanel's sculptures are sensory journeys that transport us to the confines of reality and imagination. With his background as an engineer, Eric Vanel has a precise mastery of the technical constraints of bronze and resin, the materials he favors. Trained by masters of contemporary figurative sculpture such as Grzegorz Gwiazda, Robert Bodem, and Brian Booth Craig, Eric Vanel has developed a unique artistic signature, marked by power and expressiveness.

Eric Vanel's works are widely recognized, having won several prestigious awards, including the Bronze Medal at the Salon des Artistes Français, the Grand Prix de sculpture de Barbizon, and the Gold Medal at the Salon International de Peinture et de Sculpture de Vittel. His creations are present in numerous private collections in France and Germany and exhibited in art galleries as well as in the main French art fairs.

Artistic Approach

Eric Vanel seeks to capture the essence of life in his figurative sculptures. Each piece tells a story, arouses emotions and challenges the viewer, plunging them into a dialogue between the real and the fantastic. His work is inspired by ancient myths, the Italian Renaissance, neo-baroque, and contemporary sculpture, with a particular admiration for Bernini and Carpeaux.
