Bertrand Godefroy

Biography: Bertrand Godefroy, a sculptor and designer from France, discovered his passion for the arts at a young age. His journey began with academic drawing, which laid the foundations for his artistic aspirations.


Seeking to further his skills, Bertrand pursued formal art training at the École Emile Cohl in Lyon, where he earned a degree in drawing. It was during his studies that he turned to sculpture, which became his primary interest.

To further his understanding of sculpting techniques, Bertrand undertook an internship at the Atelier Prométhée in Paris, which specialized in mold making and casting. This experience confirmed his decision to devote himself to sculpture as a career.

Continuing his artistic development, Bertrand enrolled in the sculpture program at the prestigious Florence Academy of Art, from which he graduated and where he now shares his knowledge as a senior drawing teacher.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Bertrand works from Corpo, a studio he founded in the vibrant city of Florence where he teaches and sculpts his new works.
