MIROGI
Michele Rousselot-Gilbert

Culture
A Saint-Maurienne schooling up to the baccalaureate, Cazeaux, Michelet, Louis Blanc, Pissarro and Berthelot and in parallel, the Plastic Arts for leisure. Drawing, Painting, Enamels, etc.

Michèle Rousselot-Gilbert, MIROGI under her artist name, has been in Saint-Maurienne since childhood.

MIROGI has always loved the Plastic Arts and, as soon as she was able to make herself heard, became fluent in the Fine Arts, at the time described as modernity. An artistic and aesthetic fiber that she has cultivated since her childhood.
Its three basic subjects are dance, anatomy, love. These are its three forms.

But MIROGI first turned to physiotherapy and then to acupuncture and Chinese medicine. A training that would be an important foundation and that she never abandoned.

The bronze working technique is very particular and requires precise and careful control at each stage.

MIROGI hopes to bring a better life to those who follow her work, a bit like those who go to see her when she practices her primary profession, physiotherapy. Some of her works seem alive to us, probably also because MIROGI puts all her energy and soul into them.

Since that day, MIROGI has never stopped sculpting in the workshop from live models but without a master or professor so as not to be influenced.

MIROGI did not look for a style, it was the style that found him. One day, after working the clay, MIROGI decided to make his first bronze. At the beginning, and as is often the case, it was friends who asked for pieces and this is how the public knowledge of MIROGI's work began because Doctor in Saint-Maur, the work could be made public during the artists' days, ArtManié, exhibitions as part of Women's Day and then during the Grand Marché d'Art Contemporain de Paris Bastille each October and this for the 4th year.

MIROGI only works on bodies, she observes in the streets of Saint-Maurien the later models of her works. This is one of the keys to allow the adaptation of what she calls the flexible bodies that remain her faithful allies in her work. Movement and expression, the essentiality of life and her characters are then passionate.
