Artistic intention Patrick Fuvel

As a contemporary creator , I feel two powerful attractors: on the one hand, the pleasure that lies in the act of painting and drawing by interpreting a subject and, on the other, the happiness of offering the spectator the possibility of playing and dancing with my creations .

In practice I am deepening the creation of kinetic figurative paintings. For this I paint cotton sails that float in front of another painting in the background, which allows me to compose , without technology , paintings that literally change with the viewing angle . The project is to dynamically combine shapes and colors in order to express through movement the poetic emotion of feeling alive in front of the painting. It is therefore indeed about painting but now in 3D. In truth, my paintings can only be fully appreciated through real experience – one can nevertheless approach them by watching videos .

Beyond technique, my intention is to share the moving substance of dreams. Some of my collectors have told me that what they appreciated in my creation was the "magical " and "mysterious" atmosphere that emanated from it.

For me the essential notions of life, magic, dream and movement are linked and can be combined in a new aesthetic that modern technologies invite us to refine. If the question of movement , as I feel, defines THE new frontier in contemporary aesthetics, then in this immense space of exploration, I claim to be a kind of traveler and experimental tinkerer .
